Permitting
State and Federal fish permits are required to net endangered species (e.g., juvenile Chinook salmon and Steelhead trout in Puget Sound, juvenile summer-run Chum salmon in Hood Canal), as well as any necessary animal care protocols related to handling of vertebrates.
Programs
Check with NOAA, tribes, and educational facilities in your vicinity for experts that have institutional knowledge and ability to net fish.
